What do Paul, Pyrgo and the Mayor of the West Midlands have in common?

Paul Hopkins – All Formats:  Production, Sales & Advocacy Officer and his guide dog, Pyrgo met the Mayor of the West Midlands, Richard Parker at the Reducing Disability Inequalities Summit held on 27th November 2024 at the Exchange on Broad Street in Birmingham city centre.

The Mayor was a keynote speaker at the event where discussions such as understanding the landscape of disability inequality, understanding the role of the social model of disability through a health lens, and a panel consisting of professionals and disabled people to explore the benefit of co-production, and why it’s important for the voices of disabled people to be heard.

We’ll be publishing a full article soon, focussing on the collaboration between the event organisers and All Formats which meant that Braille was provided for the delegates who required it, thus ensuring the Summit was inclusive and accessible to everyone.
